Folding Tumble Mat

Tumble Mats are available to help ensure safety around beds, both standard and low level. Made from high density foam and covered in a non-slip two way stretch vapour permeable, wipe clean fabric. The covers can be machine washed up to 60°C if required. The mats fold away easily for storage. Standard size: 198 x 60 x 5 cm Double thickness and bespoke sizes available on request.

Side Rail Bumpers

To avoid entrapment Side Rail Bumpers are available to fit different side rails. The bumpers are fastened using Velcro, ensuring that the bed environment is safe. The bumpers are made from a padded, vapour permeable wipe clean fabric which is machine washable up to 60°C. Bed End Bumpers are available to the same specification if required.

Wedge Set
This method of preventing a patient from falling or rolling out of bed requires no use of side rails. It comprises of a draw sheet which easily attaches to the mattress with quick release buckles and two wedges which are positioned along each side of the mattress using Velcro fastenings.
The draw sheet and the wedges have covers which are made from a vapour permeable wipe clean fabric. The draw sheet can also be machine washed up to 60°C if required.
A cotton draw sheet is also available in request. Wedge size 90cm long x 20cm high, bespoke sizes available on request.v
The ScanBed Alpha Junior is a new short four section profiling bed developed to meet the needs of the smaller adult and children but has all the features of a community bed, plus an integral bed extension. It has been specifically designed to accommodate the profiling required for children therefore maximising the potential for the backrest and knee break to be in the correct position when profiling.

Head and Footboard padding
Grab Handles
Grab (support) handles can be located either side of a profiling bed to assist in transfers or turning in bed.
There are three options below that fit our profiling beds.
The grab (support) handles cannot be fitted on the Alpha/Etude bed if concertina side rails are being used.
Padded covers are available too for any size.
